It's not easy to launch a branded content strategy for a news organization, but with the right resources, support and effort, it is a worthwhile venture that leads to new, recurring revenue for your company. That's what Amanda McElfresh, branded content specialist, and Robert Young, VP of digital solutions, both of Georges Media Group will be discussing on the next Big Branded Call, Wed., Sept. 20th at 1 p.m. EST.

Georges Media Group includes three distinct print and digital publications: The New Orleans Advocate | Times-Picayune, The Advocate in Baton Rouge, and The Acadiana Advocate, headquartered in Lafayette.

In early 2019, the news organization expanded its digital presence to include branded content operations, enhancing its suite of advertising products. The papers have more than 800,000 dedicated newspaper readers and more than 1.7 million followers on its various social media platforms.

McElfresh and Young will discuss several recent successful branded content campaigns including one with a bank that highlights the accomplishments of women across the region, and another showcasing the area's deep heritage and cultural impact.
